Terms of Service

Last updated 26 September 2026

The short version. Your work stays yours. Answers come from AI and can be wrong, so check the sources. If you use Stuart on calls, telling the other people is your job. Pro and Max renew until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Stuart is built and run by one person, Mutaqin Aryawijaya, an independent developer based in Central Jakarta 10210, Indonesia, as an individual, with no company behind it yet. These terms are an agreement between you and Mutaqin Aryawijaya ("Stuart", "we", "us"). They cover the Stuart app for Mac, the online service it uses, and this website. By creating an account or using Stuart, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are part of these terms.

2. Your account

3. Plans, billing and limits

4. Calls and consent

Stuart can listen to, transcribe and summarize calls on your Mac. Laws about recording and transcribing conversations differ between countries and states, and some require the consent of everyone on a call.

5. Your content

Your code, notes, calls and everything else Stuart reads stay yours. You give us permission to process the parts that Stuart sends to its service only to provide the features you use, as the Privacy Policy describes. We don't use your content to train AI models, and we don't claim any ownership of it or of Stuart's answers about it.

You confirm that you have the right to let Stuart read the sources you add, including any shared with you by an employer or client.

6. AI answers

Stuart's answers, transcripts and summaries are generated by AI models. Stuart asks each sentence of an answer to point to a source and removes those that don't, but answers can still be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Check the sources before relying on an answer, especially for legal, financial, medical or safety decisions. Stuart's answers are not professional advice.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use Stuart to:

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it.

8. Other services

Stuart works alongside apps it doesn't control, such as Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Claude Code and Codex. We aren't affiliated with them and aren't responsible for them. Sign-in uses Google, and payments use Dodo Payments, under their own terms.

9. Changes to Stuart

Stuart is a young product and will change. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something that is a core part of Pro or Max, we will tell you in advance and you can cancel. If you paid for a yearly plan, you can ask for a refund of the unused months.

10. Ending your account

You can stop using Stuart and ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to hello@stuartdesk.com. We may end an account for serious or repeated breaches of these terms. If we stop offering Stuart altogether, we will give at least 30 days' notice and refund any prepaid time you haven't used.

11. Warranties and liability

We work hard to keep Stuart useful and available, but we provide it "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if that is more.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or any rights you have as a consumer where you live.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If we disagree about something, please write to us first; most problems are solved that way. Otherwise, disputes go to the Central Jakarta District Court (Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Pusat).

If you are a consumer, this doesn't take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, or your right to bring a claim in your own courts where that law allows it.
